Mental Health Referrals

We work in partnership with General Practitioners and key service providers to treat people suffering with a comprehensive range of mental health concerns.

For assistance with managing your patients’ mental health concerns, please follow our simple five-step admissions process outlined below.

1. Does your patient need a mental health admission?
2. Does your patient have Private Health Insurance, DVA Status, WorkCover or the ability to self-fund their admission?
   Note: Effective 1 April 2018, Australian Government changes to private health insurance coverage for mental health services will take effect.
3. If yes, call 1800 311 470 to discuss admission suitability with our Admissions and Assessment Team.
4. Send referral via Medical Objects or via email to toronto.mentalhealthintake@aurorahealth.com.au
5. Same day, we will confirm health fund eligibility check, admission arrangements and allocate a Psychiatrist.

Medical, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Referrals

Toronto Private Hospital’s Catalina and Excelsior Units works in partnership with Physicians and General Practitioners to provide the best possible environment for your patients requiring inpatient care for their medical condition.

If you think your patient may benefit from an admission under one of our qualified specialists, allow us to help you by following the admissions process outlined below.

1. Does your patient need a medical/rehabilitation or palliative care admission to hospital?
2. Does your patient have Private Health Insurance, DVA Status, Work Cover or the ability to self-fund their admission?
3. Call our Medical/Rehabilitation Admissions Team for assessment on 02 4956 0102 or 0459 988 151.
4. Fax completed referral form for health fund check to 02 4950 5028.
5. Our Admissions Team will arrange an Admitting Consultant and confirm patient’s admission time within one hour.
