We offer both inpatient and day patient rehabilitation, helping you to return to daily life sooner.
Rehabilitation promotes recovery from illness, injury or surgery to regain strength, function and mobility. Our multidisciplinary team works together to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients.
We have five major inpatient rehabilitation programs:
Neurological
For patients following:
- Stroke
- Onset of Parkinson's Disease, Guillian-Barre Syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis and other Neuropathies
- Spinal Cord Dysfunction
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Non-Traumatic Brain Injury such as Sub-arachnoid Haemorrhage
- Neurological surgery
Pain
For patients suffering:
- Chronic pain resulting in a deficit in functioning
Reconditioning
For patients following:
- An acute surgical intervention
- An acute medical condition or exacerbation
Amputee
For patients following:
- Above and below knee amputations
- Above and below elbow amputations
Orthopaedic
For patients following:
- Total hip replacements and revisions
- Surgery for fractured hip
- Total knee replacements and revisions
- Shoulder replacement and revisions
- Other orthopaedic surgery
- Multi-trauma, including fractures
- Spinal surgery
Rehabilitation Team
Our qualified and experienced Medical, Allied Health and Nursing staff work together to provide holistic patient care. Our rehabilitation team includes:

- Exercise Physiologist

Our multidisciplinary team designs and implement individualised programs to enable patients to achieve greater independence in hospital and on return to home, work and leisure pursuits.
Weekly case conferences with Physicians, Allied Health and Nursing staff are conducted to assess each patient's program and progress and staff work towards set goals and discharge times. Family conferences are available by arrangement if required.
Our rehabilitation centre is fully equipped with an occupational therapy kitchen, hydrotherapy pool, and gymnasium.
All patients are assessed prior to admission by an experienced rehabilitation assessor to identify and set achievable rehabilitation goals.
Referrals
Patients wishing to access our inpatient or day program rehabilitation should ask their GP for a referral to one of our Rehabilitation Physicians as outlined below.
